🥊 USA Boxing Certification — Requirements & Instructions

Why Certification Is Required

While general boxing fitness activities are covered under The Facility’s insurance, any contact or sparring sessions must follow USA Boxing’s rules and insurance requirements.
✅ This protects both participants and coaches and ensures all sanctioned boxing activities are properly insured.


Step-by-Step: How to Obtain USA Boxing Certification

  1. Go to: https://usaboxing.org/membership

  2. Create an Account or Log In.

  3. Select Preferred Membership Type:

  • ➡️ ATHLETE (Contact) – required for anyone sparring or participating in contact training. | $59-$100 per year
  • ➡️ FITNESS (Non-Contact) – required for anyone participating in non-contact group training.| $25-$35 per year
  1. Select Your Club: ➡️ Unattached

  2. Complete Required Information and Upload an ID.

  3. Complete SafeSport Training

  4. ⚠️ Provide Proof of Membership: Send a screenshot or electronic version of your active USA Boxing Member Card and email it to nicki@thefacilityaz.com.

  5. ⚠️ Carry your card with you, when training at The Facility: A coach or team member may request to view it at any time. 

Important Notes

  • Non-contact boxing (bag work, conditioning) is permitted under The Facility’s insurance for all members.

  • Contact or sparring boxing requires USA Boxing certification and a certified coach present at all times.

  • 🚨 No unsupervised sparring is permitted under any circumstances.

  • Certification must be renewed annually.
